Along with the excitement and promising prospects brought by Artificial Intelligence, critical ethical questions and debates about the reasonable limits of its application also emerge. In this context, two recent examples illustrate this moral crossroads.
The first, highlighted in a post by Andre Barcaui (https://lnkd.in/dgGbxYbW), is the Re;memory tool. This innovation allows family members to "reconnect" with deceased loved ones. While it offers innovative solace, it raises questions about this interaction's emotional and psychological impact, especially considering the delicate line between memory and reality.
In parallel, a report from Startse addresses an intriguing phenomenon: a model and influencer created by AI, which has won a vast legion of followers on Instagram. Check out the full report: https://lnkd.in/dWYuW7JV. This case raises questions about authenticity and influence in the digital age, where the line between real and virtual is increasingly blurred.
These examples lead us to reflect: to what extent is it ethical to push the boundaries of technology, exposing people, particularly those emotionally and psychologically vulnerable, to a world that confuses fantasy with reality?
The discussion is complex and necessary as we move towards a future where Artificial Intelligence will be increasingly present.
